Lyndhurst Hall was built in 1884 as a Congregational church and missionary school. It’s original designs were by Alfred Waterhouse.

In 1905, additions were added to the building with designs by Spalding & Spalding.

The church closed for worship in the 1978. In 1992, it was reopened as AIR Studios Lyndhurst by Sir George Martin, a recording studio of global reputation.
