Intangible Heritages 1: Community- Intangible bonds with tangible space

This lecture will be on site at Wembley Mosque. The purpose for the visit is to physically see a location of ritual reuse that demonstrates intangible and material heritage conservation. Before the site visit, a package of the proposed planning applications will be distributed and be briefly discussed. The tour on site will be chosen on a day that shows a traditional community event at the host’s discretion. Students are expected to read sample planning application in its entirety and create notes of the site conditions, community perceptions, and other key observations relevant to the final project prospectus.
